Mr Yeo Kian Wee Andy joined the Board on 20 December 2017 and assumed the role of Chairman on 1 February 2024. He is the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Nominating Committee.

Mr Yeo is currently a Partner at Eldan Law LLP, bringing over 20 years of experience in legal practice. He began his career as a trainee with the Legal Service Commission in March 1996, before becoming an assistant registrar of the Supreme Court in July 1996. He served as a magistrate and a coroner in the State Courts from September 1997 to September 1998. He subsequently joined the Attorney-General’s Chambers as a state counsel and deputy public prosecutor in October 1998. After 18 years at Allen & Gledhill LLP, he joined Eldan Law LLP, where he continues to practice.

Mr Yeo obtained his Bachelor of Laws from the National University of Singapore and was admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore. He is also a non-practising solicitor of England and Wales, having been admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales.

Mr Tan Yong Chuan joined the Board as an Executive Director on 24 October 2016 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer on 20 December 2017. He is a member of the Nominating Committee.

Since joining our Group in January 2011, Mr Tan has been responsible for the overall management, operations, and strategic planning, including oversight of the Group’s finance functions. Before joining our Group, he served as an audit senior at Deloitte Kassim Chan, where he conducted statutory audits for listed and non-listed companies across diverse industries, including manufacturing, trading, services, and agriculture.

Mr Tan holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Malaysia. He is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Mr Tan Kwee Chai, one of our founders, joined the Board as Executive Chairman on 20 December 2017. He was re-elected as Executive Director on 29 April 2022, when he stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman.

With over 40 years in the furniture manufacturing and design industry, Mr Tan co-founded Lian Yu Furniture Co., which was later incorporated as LY Furniture Sdn. Bhd (“LYFSB”) in July 1991 to continue Lian Yu’s business. Mr Tan has been a director of LYFSB since its inception and plays a key role in the Group’s overall management and operations, including formulating the Group’s strategic directions and expansion plans. His leadership has been pivotal in the Group’s growth and business expansion.

Mr Tan is also the honorary advisor to the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCIM), an advisor to the Federation of Johor Furniture Manufacturers and Traders Association, and holds honorary president positions with both the Batu Pahat Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Batu Pahat Furniture Association.

Ms Tan Ai Luang joined the Board on 20 December 2017. She is responsible for the Group’s sales and marketing activities and oversees the prototype and industrial engineering, purchasing and procurement, and exporting and shipping departments.

Ms Tan began her career in October 1997 as a showroom manager at Timberplus Creation Pte. Ltd., where she was responsible for selling furniture to end users. In February 1999, she joined our Group as a Marketing Manager. Between 2005 and 2011, she established Mixpro Resources Sdn. Bhd., a company specialising in furniture trading. She rejoined our Group in July 2012 as Assistant General Manager, overseeing the sales and marketing, customs, and shipping functions.

Ms Tan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia.

Mr Choo Chee Beng joined the Board on 1 February 2024. He is the Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee and Nominating Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.

Mr Choo brings 29 years of extensive experience in finance, with expertise in financial and tax planning, corporate exercise management, turnaround strategies, cash flow and fund management, among other areas.

From 2008 to 2020, he served as Chief Financial Officer at several prominent companies, including Country Heights Holdings Berhad, OSK Holdings Berhad and its group of companies, Destination Resorts and Hotels Sdn. Bhd., Tropicana Corporation Berhad, Naza TTDI Sdn. Bhd., Big Bad Wolf Books Sdn. Bhd., and Skyworld Development Sdn. Bhd.

Mr Choo holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, a Chartered Accountant and member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Datuk Yap Kheng Fah joined the Board as an Independent Director on 1 January 2022 and was re-designated as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director on 30 April 2024. He is a member of the Audit and Risk Committee and Remuneration Committee.

Datuk Yap is the Founder and Chairman of a licensed private equity firm. As a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and corporate advisor, he has extensive experience in leading and completing mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, corporate restructuring, divestitures, and debt transactions. He also serves on the boards of several private and publicly listed companies in Malaysia and Singapore.

Datuk Yap holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and a Master of Business Administration from Charles Sturt University, Australia. In 2014, he was conferred with the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu by the Governor of Sabah, which carries the title “Datuk”.
